The week of July 29, 2016 was an unusual one as there wasn’t much new in the way of blockbusters. This has allowed 2 lesser-know movies to get on the list, and to get some views from fans. Let’s find out what they are!
The top movie of the week, Independence Day: Resurgence, actually could have been in the top 10 list 3 times! It had 3 different torrents doing very well. The Nice Guys has made another surge up the list after being absent last week, likely due to a better version being upload. Me Before You continues to help cheap movies lovers get lucky, and the X-Men are still facing Apocalypse as mohawk Storm absolutely wins my heart …and groin region.
At number 5 and 6 we have two movies that I did not see as ones which would be on this list at all. The first is the Tom Hanks starring film A Hologram for the King. You know that Tom is only going to attach himself to something worth your time, and you know he’s going to put in a great performance. It’s a typical ‘fish out of water’ story of an American businessman in Saudi Arabia getting up to hijinks and feeling out of place. The other movie, Daylight’s End, is a complete unknown. It is basically a zombie gore fest according to summaries, and well know how popular anything zombie is online right now. I may have to see this over the weekend myself.
We’ve been seeing How to be Single and Warcraft on the list for several weeks (despite my pleading with you to stop wasting bandwidth on the awful How to be Single), and this week sees them sink a little lower. Back on the list after a few weeks absence is The Jungle Book. It looks like someone has uploaded a decent 720p version. And the version of The Huntsman: Winter’s War that’s floating around right now is an extended version. If the theatrical cut wasn’t a vile enough assault on your senses, here is a longer slap to the testicles/ovaries.
